I'm a software developer passionate about technology and community engagement.
Cristofer Sousa is a Web Software Engineer with a specialization from UFSCar, currently working in Front-end Development and Architecture at @Sinch. He was also a pioneer in founding the Opensanca community in his hometown, focusing on the development and engagement of technical training in System Development with an emphasis on OpenSource. He served as the Community Team Leader for 4 years.
A web enthusiast since the early days of Netscape, Cristofer values user-focused product development over mere technology. He also appreciates processes that benefit the team, always striving to encourage the use of agile metrics. Throughout his journey, he has had the privilege of contributing to the development of digital products with social impact and leading the creation of one of the largest technology communities in the interior of São Paulo, Opensanca <3.
Some corporate and social projects he is proud to have been a part of include Ecogarbage, MãoAberta, OpenJobs, ContaAzul, UOL Afiliados, and Deal Health.
He also gives lectures and workshops focusing on user interface design. As a speaker, he seeks to bridge the gap between IT students and the corporate market, while also encouraging their entrepreneurial spirit.
I'm currently deepening my knowledge in the following technologies:
- Next.js: Exploring server-side rendering, static site generation, and building scalable web applications.
- Tailwind CSS: Mastering utility-first CSS framework for rapid UI development and responsive design.
- Golang: Learning Go for building efficient and concurrent backend services.
- gRPC: Understanding and implementing high-performance, language-agnostic RPC (Remote Procedure Call) framework.
-
Inline Hockey: I'm the goaltender for the Aliens Hockey team in Jaraguá do Sul/SC, and in 2024, I became the Technical Director of the Federação Catarinense de Hockey Inline.
-
Spiritual Leadership: I am a priest at the Casa de Umbanda Pai João de Angola and Caboclo 7 Folhas, where I focus on themes of belonging, resilience, and community engagement. I actively discuss and promote awareness on topics such as career development, gender rights, and inclusion within the local community.
