Use Readable and Writable streams for AWS SQS
$ npm install node-sqs-stream --save
or
$ yarn add node-sqs-stream
Kind: global class
Extends: Writable
Kind: static class of SQSWritableStream
Creates an instance of SQSWritableStream.
Param | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
options.sqsClient | Object |
instance of AWS.SQS |
options.queueUrl | string |
URL of the SQS queue |
options.sqsBatchSize | Number |
No of messages to be sent in one batch |
const sqsClient = new AWS.SQS({apiVersion: '2012-11-05'});

console.log("Finished writing");
});
sqsStream.on('error', (error) => {
console.error(error)
})
readStream.pipe(splitLines).pipe(sqsStream);
The stream uses batching to reduce calls to SQS.
This is especially useful when doing ETL.
