Is there a way to move panes, not switch locations?

Is there a way to move panes without switching them? What I mean by this is, imagine a 3 pane layout with the following config, rendering one large pane on the left, and two smaller on the right separated by a vertical split (from the examples of the docs).

    pane split_direction="vertical" {
        pane
        pane split_direction="horizontal" {
            pane
            pane
        }
    }
}

Is there a way to move the bottom right pane, for example, to the bottom left, rather than purely swapping with the left pane resulting in the same layout? Or does this need to be specified in a different layout that can be switched to? An alternative would be if there is a command to mirror/invert the layout and then panes can be 'moved' as they currently do by swapping positions, though this would likely be far more work in more complicated layouts.

Apologies if I'm missing something here, but I couldn't see it when reading the docs/discussions here.
