Hello!

My name is Codrut, I am a software developer. But since you are viewing this page, I assume you already knew that. I am a self-taught developer, and I started working with Delphi a long time ago. I have a passion for creating new apps and open-source projects, It's fun, exciting and really rewarding.

A little more about me:

I was born and currently live in Romania, a place from which many important developers come from. Not like I am one, but I am proud of that fact.

I also have 2 cats, Star and Ryanna. Star is the cat that I use as my profile picture everywhere. He is adorable. The internet loves cats, and so do I. 😺

How I got into programming

My passion for programming started pretty early in my life. My family introduced me to this little IDE called Delphi 7, In which I could easily make a user interface and write code in the Pascal programming language. The the first program I have ever written was a simple WinUI form with two buttons, and when I clicked one of the buttons, the other one dissapeared. When I hit compile and tried the app, my mind was completely blown away.

And I did not know It at the time, but that simple application would introduce me to an entire world of programming, and bit by bit everyday, I had new ideas of apps I could create.

My first apps were not great, actually, they were really bad, but looking back at them now, I'm surprised on how I would find creative solutions to bypass my knowledge gaps back then. Today, going back trough all the apps I made I can see how I progressed from each one bit by bit and It's a really nostalgic trip to the past.

And here I am now, a fully independent software developer with more Ideas than time to develop them!
