Qual gerador de site estatico vamos utilizar?? O Pelican mesmo?

Acho que Jekyll é uma opção melhor e mais simples. O Pelican é mais complicado pra hospedar no github-pages.

El sitio de pycon colombia y scipy la 2019 se hizo en Lektor.

Yo non conoscia Lektor...pienso que es una buena ideia intentar con Lektor...eres de lo mismo creador de lo Flask
