Description of issue

I'd like to install both the intellij-idea and intellij-idea@eap formulas. But running the following commands
will overwrite the installed software /Applications/IntelliJ IDEA.app:

brew install --cask intellij-idea
brew install --cask intellij-idea@esp

Is it possible to make the second one installed with a user-specified file name such as /Applications/IntelliJ_IDEA_EAP.app?

No, casks install with whatever name upstream gives

Create a custom tap, upload custom cask and then you can do that but it is a way too far.
