This is not a priority thing since AppStream metadata are generated from desktop files (if there is not an actual xml file included) in Debian, but it would still be great if the Synaptic package had AppStream metadata from upstream that could have additional entries, for example screenshots, Git repo url, issues tracker url, OARS metadata etc.
