Hey everyone, it seems like there's an automatic conversion that changes tab characters to six spaces, and I can't find a way to turn it off.
We've received feedback from users about this, and although we haven't made a final decision on whether to address it, I'm curious if there's a way to make that happen.
Thanks.

Hello @cyanzhong
Could you please provide how are you adding the tab character?
Is it when using Tab or when pasting content with those tab characters?
Sorry about the confusion, I was referring to pressing the Tab key. I know the behavior can vary in editors, some insert \t and some translate it to spaces (the number of spaces can also vary...)
In roosterjs, it seems \t is translated to 6-spaces (when it's not used for indentation).
We acknowledge the requested feature, but at present, it is not included in our current development schedule. If you have the capacity, we strongly encourage you to make an open-source contribution to incorporate an alternative functionality that replaces spaces with the insertion of "\t".
We may consider this in the future so, adding FeatureAsk Tag for this issue.
