when running the commands

 amwscan 

&&

php amwscan ./mywebsite/http/ -l -s --only-exploits

I'm getting errors:

 Could not open input file: awscan

&&&

php awscan --all

Could not open input file: awscan

would I have to restart or implement something to make it work as described?

Late to the party, but someone migt find this one helpful.

I had similar problem after git installation, but after some digging i found that this problem has already been solved at another issue of this repo: #2

TLDR
You need to use php dist/scanner if you installed via git.
