General Workflow

  • How the workshop topics should be determined?
  • How is a workshop team organized? Definition of roles?
    • Workshop Lead
    • TOC Sponsor
    • Speaker(s)

Clarification on Workshop Lead Role:

  • How the workshop leads should be determined
  • What it means to sign up to run/lead a workshop
  • Requirements/commitment for the workshop leads (e.g., time)

Tasks:

  • Collect Ideas
  • Write a first description of the process for designing a workflow

How should the topics be determined?

  • Themes or strategic topic categories might be set by this committee per workshop or annually. Workshop proposals are then slotted in (assumes moderate to high level of submissions)

How should the team be structured?

  • Finding a speaker for appropriate topic
  • We need to align the workshop with the blog so we can reference our workshop.
  • Reviewers for the content, presentation and code
  • At least ⅔ host for the workshop
  • Find at least ⅔ speakers on the same topic to engage, if primary speakers refuse to appear at the last moment.
  • Nominate the speakers, share on social media and CDF could invite them to take the lead on the workshop
  • Finding OS maintainers and contributors
  • Talking with KubeCon speakers
  • Stay focused on other meetups.
  • Questions will appear on the slack as people throw them live on the YT chat or where the event is hosted.
  • Support group to help with answering participant questions
